Spring Jam '06 Registrations Up 800% from '05
Spring Jam, billed as "Canada's Largest ATV Jamboree", has been hosted for the past five years by Ontario?s Parry Sound ATV Club and TRAX Georgian Bay. This year it will be held on April 28th and 29th and once again will give entrants the chance to explore Seguin Township?s unparalleled terrain.
Last year nearly 400 ATVers from 95 communities registered for the event. Based upon its success, organizers were expecting an increase in registrations this year. However, they were astounded to discover that, since registration began on Dec. 1, 2005, there has been an eight-fold jump over last year?s figures! Because of the tremendous interest expressed in this event by ATVers, registration has been extended to mid-April of 2006, or until capacity is reached. Due to the unprecedented growth in the Jamboree?s sales, the planning committee of Spring Jam 2006 is reviewing new options for accommodation, food and services. Projected attendance will stretch the shoulder season capacity in its Seguin Township base and the immediate vicinity.
Spring Jam 2006 opens with its Friday Night Rend?zvous Ride, followed by a celebration. Saturday offers three choices of trails to riders, designed to match their skills and expectations for the day. A bigger party is planned Saturday evening that includes dinner, awards and entertainment.
Georgian Bay has become a coveted ATV destination both inside and outside of Ontario, due to much hard work and support and promotion from ATVOntario. TRAX Georgian Bay has invested heavily, both financially and physically, in ATVOntario, which markets ATV tourism destinations across Ontario as a community economic development initiative originally spawned by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Recreation.
