Gift ATV on trailLast week, Honda Canada handed over the keys of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) to Trax Georgian Bay president Andrew Ryeland, who in turn handed them over to Park-To-Park Trail chair of operations and maintenance Ed Hughes, who will use the machine to work on the trail system.
"The use of the machines was donated in the hope that it brings increased awareness to the trail systems in and around Toronto, as well as helping to increase the existing trails, " said Kim Moore, a Honda Canada spokesperson.
Spring Jam 2005 - Canada's Largest ATV Jamboree draws 310 avid fans from 96 communities in OntarioTRAX - Georgian Bay in partnership with the Parry Sound ATV District Club is thrilled with the results of its' 5th ATV Jamboree, Spring Jam 2005. TWEED gets accolades for trail system"What you've achieved here is well ahead of what most other areas have," acknowledged Tim Peterson at the February 23 Trails meeting in Tweed. Mr. Peterson is the Ontario Minister of Tourism and Recreation, Chair of the Ontario Trails Strategy and MPP for Mississauga South. He made a special stop in Tweed at the urging of Leona Dombrowsky, MPP for Hastings-Prince Edward-Lennox & Addington, and Minister of the Environment. Mr. Peterson quipped that Ms. Dombrowsky was quite insistent that he should see what Tweed was doing in trails development.
